Practicing Golf Indoors
Practice makes perfect and the game of golf is not spared of this age-old wisdom. Even if you are stuck in office or at home, you should grab that putter every chance you can and start swinging it. Wondering what we have in mind? We are thinking of indoor golf. You might not be able to perform the hard-swung drive shot with this game spin-off but mind you, putting is among the most complicated skill required of the sport if you intend to win in your next friendly game with colleagues. Now, how do you jumpstart an indoor golf game?
After you bring a spare putter, you have to decide whether to invest on a putting mat or just make do with whatever is available. If you settle for the former option, it should be because you are trying to master straightforward but shorter putts; otherwise, you have to work your way through the office carpet. Now if you have opted using putting mats, there is not much left to discuss but if you chose the latter - there are drills to begin with. For a start, lay a glass on its side; distance yourself about 8-10 feet away and try to putt the golf ball into the glass' mouth. Another one is to put two books on the floor, position them apart just enough that your putter head cannot swing through and then try to stroke the ball through the narrow space between the covers. This exercise is basically a gauge of the length of your back and forward stroke. For more information and news about golf, staying in this website is a worthwhile thing to do.
